Determine Required Length
Measure your rack or enclosure to figure out how many feet of tape you need. The tape is sold per foot. -
Cut and Prepare
Cut the tape to your desired length using clean, sharp scissors. Make sure the edges remain sealed. -
Attach Power
Wire the tape using two clips and two clip covers, connected to a standard power cord. (Clip sets and cords are sold separately.)-
Alternatively, you can solder the wires if you are experienced.

Lay the tape flat beneath or behind the enclosure. Never overlap heat tape. Ensure good airflow and avoid moisture contact. -
Connect to a Thermostat or Dimmer
Always regulate heat using a rheostat, dimmer, or proportional thermostat for accuracy and safety. -
Monitor Temperature
Use a digital thermometer or temp gun to ensure the tape stays below 95°F and maintains ideal herp temperatures.
