Keep your reptiles warm and comfortable with our Belly Heat Panels now coated with a flame retardant layer for enhanced safety. These panels are specifically engineered to maintain herp-related temperatures, providing a reliable and efficient heat source for snakes, lizards, and other reptiles.

Rated for use up to 96°F, these panels are ideal for under-enclosure belly heat applications. They’re perfect for racks, PVC cages, or custom enclosures where safe, controlled heat is essential.

Each panel is made from ½” thick, durable materials, measures 12” wide, and comes in three wattages—Small (23W), Medium (35W), and Large (46W)—to fit a variety of enclosure sizes. The design elevates the panel ½” off the ground to prevent moisture contact, extending its lifespan and maintaining performance.

For best results, use a rheostat, dimmer (rated for incandescent), or proportional thermostat to control temperature. This not only improves safety but also helps your panel last longer.

🧰 How to Use Belly Heat Panels

  1. Select the Correct Size:
Choose the panel wattage appropriate for your enclosure size and species’ heat requirements.

  2. Install Under the Enclosure:
Position the panel under the habitat, ensuring good contact for even belly heat. The built-in elevation keeps the panel off the floor to avoid moisture.

  3. Connect to a Thermostat or Dimmer:
Always use a rheostat, dimmer, or proportional thermostat to regulate the temperature and maintain safe operation.

  4. Monitor Temperature Regularly:
Use a thermometer or temp gun to ensure the panel operates below 96°F, adjusting controls as needed.

  5. Inspect Periodically:
Check the panel and cords routinely for wear, ensuring safe and reliable heating.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for Belly Heat Panels

Q: What’s the difference between the Small, Medium, and Large panels?
A: The only difference is wattage and length. Small is 23W, Medium 35W, and Large 46W. Choose based on the size of your enclosure and the heat needs of your species.

Q: Do I need a thermostat or rheostat?
A: Yes. While the panel is designed to run at herp-related temperatures, using a thermostat or dimmer is critical for safety, control, and longevity.

Q: Can these be used inside an aquarium?
A: No. These are not aquarium-safe and are intended for indoor terrestrial enclosures only.

Q: How hot do the panels get?
A: They’re rated for use up to 96°F. Temperature should always be monitored and controlled with appropriate equipment.

Q: Are these panels waterproof?
A: No. While they sit ½” off the ground to avoid moisture, they are not waterproof and should not be submerged.

Q: Can I use this for racks or PVC cages?
A: Yes. These panels are excellent for racks, PVC cages, and belly heat setups for snakes and other reptiles.
